Death Of A Naturalist
When I was a child, I used to play with lots of different toys. I also used to draw alot, and loved to splash in puddles. I do none of these now, I never splash in puddles. I never draw as I realised that I was no good, and never play with toys.
I think 'Death of a Naturalist' is about nature. The opening lines evoke nature beautifully. This is because Heaney uses images such as 'Swimming Tadpoles', 'Spotted Butterfiles' and 'Flax-dam festered'.
He creates a vivid impression of learning about tadpoles at school by saying 'Miss Walls'
